Anvil & Elm is a lead generation service that connects homeowners with local home service professionals ("Contractors"). We provide a matching service only — we are not a contractor, we do not perform any home services, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a Contractor.
When you submit a request through our quiz or contact form, we match you with a vetted Contractor in our network based on your trade need, project type, and location. Your contact information and project details are shared with one matched Contractor so they can reach out to you.
3. No Guarantee of Service
While we vet our Contractors for licensing, insurance, and reputation, we do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, safety, or outcome of any work performed by a Contractor. Any agreement you enter into with a Contractor is solely between you and that Contractor. We are not responsible for any disputes, damages, injuries, or losses arising from work performed by a Contractor.
We do not guarantee that a Contractor will be available in your area or for your specific project type. If we cannot find a match, we will let you know.
4. Cost to Homeowners
There is no cost to homeowners for using Anvil & Elm's matching service. You will never be charged by Anvil & Elm for submitting a request, being matched with a Contractor, or receiving a quote. Any costs for home services are between you and your Contractor.
5. Your Information
By submitting a request, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to share it. You consent to us sharing your name, phone number, email, zip code, and project details with your matched Contractor. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
6. Communications Consent
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls and SMS messages from Anvil & Elm and your matched Contractor related to your service request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access or interfere with our systems, servers, or networks
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce any content from the Site without written permission
- Use the Site to solicit Contractors for purposes unrelated to legitimate home service needs
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, design, and code — is the property of Minardi Media and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and our matching service are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minardi Media and its owners, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, our services, or any work performed by a Contractor. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Minardi Media and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or any dispute between you and a Contractor.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
13. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
